How is GM going to compete against Ford and Chrysler who are selling (or will be) both European sourced van ? They obviously can't use their partnership with Peugeot since it would be the same van as the Ram Promaster. Maybe import the Renault-based Opel Vivaro, but its smaller than the Ford and the Ram.

Thoughts ?

By the way, I love the looks of the new Transit (pictured). It doesn't seem like we will get it in France yet.

Honestly, some of the market won't want to move on from the older body styles. I'm thinking GM is hoping to profit off that market segment, at least for a few more years.

Talked to a guy who was driving a Nissan 1 ton rated van. He liked it a lot.

Toyota, Suzuki and/or Izusu will probably step in. They all have strong ties with GM.

Maybe they could go the same route Nissan did and base a new van on the Silverado, just like the fullsize NV is based on the Titan.

The Vauxhall/Opel Movano is Transit-sized. They could rebadge that as a Chevrolet quite easily.
